JUNIOR HIGH

Students in grades 6-8 are academically placed to challenge them to strive to meet their God-given potential. Students are enrolled in grade level or honors classes based upon past performance and placement tests.

Students in junior high are expected to learn the core subjects as well computer applications, as many assignments are required to be completed on a computer. Students are stretched by caring faculty to increase learning; moving from memorization of facts and ideas to areas of application and analysis. Several different Christian and secular publishers are used in these grade levels, however, each subject is taught within the framework of God’s Word.

Students are able to choose electives based upon personal interest from a variety o-f areas that include fitness, home economics, arts, technology and music.

Junior High students have daily Bible class and bi-weekly chapel services with student-lead worship. Each school year begins with a Student Retreat designed to initiate friendships, build unity among the student-body and to foster spiritual growth.

A hot lunch program and a salad are available daily options for the students. Clubs, fine arts and athletics are also available to students in Junior High. Students may also participate in the Junior National Honor Society.
